Wake Forest University’s School of Law students recently participated in a Habitat for Humanity build as part of their way of giving back to the local community. JGI was on the scene to document their efforts and interview participants about what the experience meant to them.
WFU law students hit the nail on the head
Apple Comes to NC
In these economic times good news can be hard to come by. That is why I was ecstatic when I heard that Apple was planning to set up shop in NC (less than 30 minutes away from JGI’s home offices in Hickory). Fast Company recently posted this article that talks about what Apple’s plans for the new facility might be.
Panther Radio
JGI recently completed a radio spot for GoldToe Moretz and the Carolina Panthers. This ad is the latest in a series that we’ve worked with Moretz to produce in the past couple of years. I have still not made it to a Panthers game…maybe next time I can work that into the bargain. Take a listen to the spot. powersox09
Hello, Goodbye Solo
I’m looking forward to seeing Goodbye Solo tonight at the Footcandle Film Society screening. I’ve heard good things about the lead actor. I shan’t bother to try and spell his name…go look it up on imdb if you are so inclined. It will be interesting to see how this smaller, indie film by an Iranian-American filmmaker tries to do something new with the familiar plot device of an odd couple pairing. On the outset to me it looks like The Visitor set in a taxicab. We’ll see….
Music for the weary editor
After work today I treated myself to a copy of The Decemberists’ new concept album “The Hazards of Love”. Here’s me contemplating the lyrics (thank heavens for liner notes) during my first listen.

So now you have a blog…
Yes it is true. JGI has a blog. As someone who is already a Twitter addict I expect I’ll be posting little tidbits here from time to time. Twitter? What’s that you say? Well I’ve heard it referred to as microblogging. I just know it is a nifty way to connect with others and keep up on what is going on in the world. CNN for instance posts little 140 character messages about breaking news. That’s cool right? Still unsure what the heck I’m talking about? Head over to http://www.twitter.com and see what all the hubbub is about. You can follow my form of ‘microblogging’ on Twitter by searching for (wouldn’t you know it) Chris Frye. Oops…I almost forgot to mention you can also follow JGI by searching for jginteractive.
